Being a Nana.
A warm place to stay and play in Birmingham, for grandparents who care for their grandchildren
We encourage bonding through creative activities inspired by our own upbringing, so you’ll find no iPads here!
Each week we're inspired by a new theme to create exciting and imaginative play sessions.
Bang the drums!
This week you could form a band with your grandchild on the ‘drums’ with a saucepan and spoon!
...Or we might be giving our ears a rest and creating jewellery out of buttons and string.
Imaginations run wild
Tables and tarps become private dens, toilet roll tubes become butterflies and you wouldn't believe the fun you can have with dry cereal and pasta.
By re-using household staples to create sensory experiences and inventing new ways to play, we feel our approach will allow your grandchild’s imagination to flourish.
Spend quality time with your grandchild
amongst like-minded people.

Sometimes us Grandsharents need support too.
By connecting over our shared parental roles, we’ve found some common challenges and formed a group which allows us to support each other as well as our grandchildren.
We’re always looking for ways to add some respite and wellbeing support to our sessions and we regularly see our fellow Grandsharents form friendships and swap numbers to meet up outside of the group.
